While some of the trendiest diets in recent years have recommended eliminating starch, the truth is that lightning-fast weight loss only lasts as long as, well, a bolt of lightning, and it’s certainly not very good for your long-term health. If you want to get slimmer and fit more comfortably into your old pair of jeans, you need to do more than starve yourself of essential nutrients, like carbs/starch; you need to maintain healthy routines.
Reducing your starch intake is a good idea, but that’s only a single part of the complete plan. If your goal is to really weigh less going forward in your life, then you need to exercise, eat right and sleep well too. Your health is not a single thing existing in a vacuum. It’s affected by everything you do and don’t do.
