The Olumia Life Nutrition Plan is built on two major guidelines: eat only 3 meals each day and always maintain the Nutritional Ratio. Eating breakfast, lunch and dinner is simple enough, but what’s the Nutritional Ratio? It’s an effective way of giving yourself a simple guide for eating right without the burden of calorie-counting.
Here’s a complete meal: the biggest portion on your plate should be your protein and your total protein serving should be 2 times the size of your starch serving. In other words: it’s a 2:1 ratio. Fruit and vegetables are unlimited, so have all you like! You should have fruits and/or veggies at every meal. Protein means chicken, fish, eggs and others, while starch (sometimes called “carbs”) includes bread, pasta, tortillas, rice, potatoes and so on.
No one’s perfect and we understand. If you have a meal where you eat too much starch, for example, that’s OK! You can balance your Nutritional Ratio at a later meal in the day by eating more protein and less starch. So long as the ratio is 2:1 by portion size at the end of the day, you’ll be doing just fine
Sticking to the Nutritional Ratio and logging your healthy eating habits into the app will earn you points towards your weekly goal. For more info, like details on your Cheat Half-Day, check out the Compass in the upper right corner of the app!
